BRENNA
Meet
Brenna Reynolds grew up in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and was volunteering in her community by the age of 7. As an active member of both her church and the local YMCA, Brenna spent her childhood serving meals in the winters and cleaning up neighborhoods in the summers. Once in high school, Brenna joined the Youth Advisory Boards for both the YMCA and the SafeHouse Center, to facilitate and develop youth programming.
Recognizing the influence that service and human connection had on her upbringing, Brenna chose to pursue a degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan. She worked her way through college, spending a number of years working for small businesses in downtown Ann Arbor.
After graduating, Brenna’s experience in retail brought her to Wood County, and she settled in Rossford. In 2019, she ran for Rossford Board of Education on a platform of anti-bullying and improving social-emotional education. During her campaign, Brenna connected with Rossford-area voters on numerous important issues, and sparked relationships with folks who shared a similar passion for being of service to their community. Brenna went on to assist with the Rossford Schools levy campaign, and currently serves as co-chair of the Youth Empowerment and Engagement Committee for the City of Toledo’s Human Relations Commission. She is also a member of United Way Affinity Groups Emerging Leaders and Women’s Initiative.
Brenna currently works as a Suicide Prevention Consultant for the Children’s Resource Center in Bowling Green, and travels to school districts all over Wood County teaching several different mental health programs to students of all ages.
